Small Dog in Best 90 List

Award winning brand gets listed
Brand owner Samantha Morgan-Bertish is celebrating today when she discovered her latest book Zuma the Dog: The Dinosaur Guy was listed in The Best Children’s Books of 2017 compiled by Tutora.

Zuma the Dog: The Dinosaur Guy available now to buy on Amazon
The list was compiled by tutora.co.uk to encourage parents and children to explore new opportunities for reading. They reached out to 100s of book reviewers, authors, illustrators and independent book stores for recommendations on what to include.

“I was stunned to receive the news my book had been nominated.” Says Bertish. “And I am honoured my book is being so well received. It’s amazing to be included on this list with such acclaimed authors such as Julia Donaldson and Philip Pullman.”

While the book continues to sell on Amazon, fans of Zuma the Dog will be happy to know this particular story will soon be available to watch as a part of Zuma the Dog’s animated series on the children’s entertainment platform Kidscast TV. Dates for its release are yet to be confirmed.

Small Dog Requires Kids Clothing Agency

Brand owner Samantha Morgan-Bertish is searching for the perfect children’s clothing agency to work with to grow her brand within the UK. The online brand has had success selling through various online marketplaces and trialled their products in Pop-up shops and are now ready to see their clothing line on the shelves of retailers and independent boutiques in the UK and are looking for experienced agents to make this possible.

It’s important to the brand owner that Zuma the Dog remains a true “British” brand with is design and manufacturing being in the U.K and focussing its sales growth here too.

“Finding the right agency to represent our unique brand with our fun colourful style is important to us.” Says Samantha. “With the launch of our digital VOD series in the summer, it’s important to partner with the right team to manage the rapid growth we expect from the exposure we will gain from our children’s series and build strong long term business relationships.”

Zuma the Dog kids brand was created in Somerset in 2009, inspired by the family pet and welcomes agencies, wholesalers and distributors to make contact via email at zuma@zumathedog.com or call 07778669680

SMALL DOG TO GAIN MORE LEGS IN THE UK MARKET

Zuma the Dog set to grow with new  business strategy.

Glastonbury based Start-up Children’s wear brand has set a new strategy to concentrate on its home market and grow sales through expanding its team of sales reps and distributors.

Trading since 2010 entrepreneur Samantha has singlehandedly developed Zuma the Dog’s brand philosophy and style, creating sales and recognition worldwide. The owner and creator of the small clothing brand has spent so much time focusing on sales outside the U.K, that she admits, “sales here have slipped”. Her new strategy is to now take on more team members to get the brand back into the UK retail market and into the hearts of the public, where it belongs.

Samantha invites all interested parties to contact her direct via email on sam@zumathedog.com, Show rooms, sales reps, wholesalers and distributors are all welcome to get in touch for more information. Alternatively you can visit our wholesale page online and learn more about our brand and register your interest.

We made it!

We made it!

It looks like we have finally come through what appears to be the wettest winter for hundreds of years! I feel we are starting to come out of hibernation, out of our homes and we have certainly started spending more time at my favourite location. I think Mummy is getting me to meet lots of new doggy friends and wearing me out as much as she can at the beach so I don’t woof so much at home.
Love learning new beach activities
We have started with some fun activities which has included Stand Up Paddle boarding (SUP), which I wasn’t so sure about at first, but as long as I remember not to jump head first into the sea I will be fine and will probably enjoy it more as time goes by. Mummy tells me there is a Dog Surf competitions coming up at Praia do Guincho in May and would like me to take part. Do you think I can get myself trained in time?

Fun and Frolics at Praia do Guincho

The beach is coming back to paradise after it took some serious battering from the storms in January and it even looks like the sea is starting to deposit the sand back in its rightful place. With the plants coming back to life and Easter on its way we definitely have a good positive feeling about the new season ahead.
New and exciting projects and developments are happening at Zuma the Dog HQ and the most recent to be rolled out this month is our new Zumathe Dog – Books at Home programme. We have designed this for our customers who enjoy our books, can sell them and earn commission for sales of our Zuma the Dog Book series. With the world becoming smaller we recognise that foreign language learning for small children has become more of a necessity to get ahead in our competitive world. Our original book series have been made into a bilingual range to include popular European languages like Spanish, French, Portuguese and German. More are on the way and teamed up with our product partner Popagami we have come up with a tight range of books both parent and child can enjoy and learn from.
We are encouraging people worldwide to join and become team leaders and develop their own network where commission can be earned on team sales. We would love to hear from you, so please get in touch with me at zuma@zumathedog.com

The sun is still beating down on the garden and this blog post is taking up precious sunbathing time. While mummy has her back turned I’m going to sneak off and get some more sun time before it disappears behind the fence.
I look forward to hearing from you.

Much Love

The Ending Summer

The summer is starting to come to an end and for many of us it feels like it just got started. I’ve had a great time off, a wonderful doggy holiday, but now we are getting back into the full swing of it. The kids will soon be back at school and it’s only a matter of week before we start to celebrate Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas! Can you believe that?

Samples heading out to new distributors
Zuma the Dog head office was at a standstill for a while, due to Daddy Zuma having a serious accident, an eight week hospital stay and weeks of hospital treatment and physiotherapy. Now we have slipped into a nice little routine which includes the hospital visits, HQ is moving forward again. We’ve been busy catching up and Mummy Zuma has been hard at it again securing new distributors, covering the USA, Russia and Ukraine. Along with the licensing deals signed at the beginning of the summer Zuma the Dog is set for large growth in business over the next year. Summer 2014 order are being taken, winter 2014 range is designed and research for summer 2015 is under way. So much going on that we really now need to stay ahead.

Samples heading out all over the world
On top of all this great news we are also being featured in two great magazines over the next two months. Firstly is with Beebo magazine, the Southwest’s must have family magazine. Here we get to tell you all about our brand for those who are not familiar with us and with a cute colouring competition we get to give away one of our hoodies with various other surprises.

In October we are honoured to be featured in CWB magazine, which will expose our brand to all of the Children’s wear stores and boutiques throughout the UK.

For our tiny little family run brand all about me (the family pet) we really are making waves in the big wide world and with all my recent trauma issues almost solved. Life is becoming most pleasurable for Zuma the Dog.

Can I get a high five?

Much love
